Gittel Price - Director, Marketing
Gittel Price is an awarding-winning photographer whose images feature her poetic vision. She is currently president of Women in Focus and past-president of RPS, having served RPS as President from 2004-2005. She is also a member of the Atlanta Photography Group. In 2005 she was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the State of Georgia's Recreation and Parks Association. Her work has been featured and sold in numerous juried exhibits, in which she has amassed a number of 1st thru 3rd place awards for single as well as collective works. She is the 2007 winner of Atlanta's prestigious "Distinguished Artist of the Year" CABY Award for excellence in photography and outstanding artistic contribution to her community. Gittel's early study of textile design and painting techniques fostered a keen appreciation of line, texture and color. Her willingness to be untiringly present with her subjects gives her a "secret" vantage point. She sees the beauty of detail in the most ordinary objects, and her vision has the uncanny ability to capture that fleeting moment of perfection revealed by the subtlest play of light. "Gittel is one of those artists who bridges the past and the future by using the power of the present to illuminate the eternal." And, as her love for the life shimmering in each thing and moment is captured by the eye of her lens, we are called to see not only WHAT she sees — but, we are invited to see, and be present, in that timeless way which feels like a gift to our souls.
