Young photography fiends can create a personal journal by designing their own book with their very own photos, which will be taken with provided disposable cameras. Students will also explore the fun & easy techniques of photo transferring, hand coloring and more. There is a $20 lab fee (cash only) payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Taking a good picture requires more than simply aiming a camera or pushing a button: it takes awareness, planning and skill. At first, the process may seem slow, but as the principles of good design become more familiar; shooting becomes easier, more fun and more satisfying. This eight session course for photographers provides the tools to help produce images more precisely and more dramatically. Classes combine slide-illustrated presentations that identify strong design concepts, critiques of students' work and group discussion. Emphasis is given to design concepts, printing and image size. This class is not intended for the novice; students are recommended to possess basic photographic technical knowledge and be knowledgeable with their cameras.
